Being the first in Austria, Dr. Kögler started the treatment of acne and acne scars with a new laser, as well as the remodelling of collagen tissue against fine lines and small wrinkles.
Actually the Aramis laser has a extraordinary deep penetration due to his long wave length of 1540nm. That means, that the laser shows his maximum effect in the dermis, without irritating the epidermis. So we do not cause any side effects on our skin and because of a special cooling device the laser is completely painless.
Due to this depth of penetration the light energy of the laser is transformed into a heat stimulus which leads to an increase of production of collagen fibres. Actually this effect lasts for months, even for years. Because of this improvement we can find the skin more tightened and a decrease of fine lines and wrinkles. Especially round the eyes we have excellent results, but also the upper lip, chin and cheeks are recommended areas.
If the skin also shows other signs of aging as brown spots (age spots) or small and superficial vessels (couperosis), we additionally treat with a flashlamp called Ellipse. Together with the Aramis laser this treatment offers a holistic therapy of skin rejuvenation. The advantage of this kind of combination is a treatment without removing of the epidermis. So we have no down time and our patients are able to be back at business immediately after the therapy.
The sebaceous glands are located in the dermis where the acne has it’s origin. The Aramis laser develops a special heat, which can destroy the bacteria and reduce the sebum production. This leads to a diminishment of inflammation and red spots.
After severe acne often scars remain. Due to the ability of creating new collagen the Aramis makes the scars less deep and therefore less visible. We need 3-4 treatments in average and there is no need of refusing the therapy because of tanned skin. Also darker skin types can be treated. After one year we recommend a refreshing with one single treatment. In general we can say, that the younger the skin, the better the effect of remodelling.
In this respect the Aramis laser is also a perfect prophylaxis against early skin aging.
